AA form improved
In a previous post (AA form – three entry fields and one error!), I wrote about how a simple form on the New Zealand Automobile Association (AA) website was finally not as easy as it should have been. I’m quite happy to tell you that AA is doing a new contest and they improved their simple form.
In the AA email I received, they say it would take less than 60 seconds to enter the competition (e.g., complete the form), I like that when their design helps achieve their goal.
For example, when you design an interface, it’s important to define usability goals and stating: Users must complete the form in less than 60 seconds is measurable and realistic. While facilitating user testing, you can validate it.
Here is the second step of the online form that works!
There are 3 clear labels and one obvious button to submit the form.
Have a look at what they did 4 months ago: AA form – three entry fields and one error! It took me more than 60 seconds in that case.

Very interesting example on how to measure usability. Thanks.
